The garden city Gräfelfing has been one of the most popular areas in and around Munich for years, thanks to its many villas and its generous, loosely spaced architecture. Situated immediately beyond the western outskirts of Bavaria’s capital, on the lower reaches of the river Würm, it is possible to reach the centre of Munich and Lake Starnberg from Gräfelfing quickly, both by car and by suburban train line S6. The nearby “Five Lake District” and the fast connection to motorway to Garmisch (A95) and to Lake Constance (A96) invite you to excursions.
The infrastructure is almost perfect: Next to a variety of shopping opportunities in the immediate vicinity, Gräfelfing offers a large number of facilities for sports, leisure, and culture. Many schools (primary and secondary schools, grammar schools, bus connection exists to international school in Starnberg), considerable childcare facilities, many good doctors, many excellent restaurants and other leisure options, for example a riding stable (Gut Freiham), the open air swimming pool Germering, cycle tours to the “Five Lake District” and the golf range Munich Germering and the golf club Gut Rieden complete the picture.
